Vacuum Contactor Technology

A "Vacuum Contactor" is a "Switching device" that "makes and breaks"

the electrical current inside a chamber called "Vacuum Interrupter Tube"

(VI).

A Vacuum Interrupter is a sealed-off device with a level of vacuum

>10-5 torr.

VI. At current zero the arc ceases & the circuit voltage is isolated

contacts.

The special contact material used in the VI, ensure low chopping current

& switching over voltage, thus enhances the life of connected load. Viz.

Motors, Transformers, Capacitors etc.
